Dance recital

Well, dance recitals are over for one more year! We had a great weekend, and the shows were awesome! The recitals for Dorinda's Dance Studio are like a Broadway production, they are just amazing! I guess that's what keeps us going back year after year, even though it's an hour drive from our house to the dance studio. Kindra, Anna, and Noah did such a great job on their dances. I was worried Noah would refuse to go on stage, but he loved it! Actually, today he's been harassing me to go to dance recital again. When I told him it was over until next year, he got pretty upset with me! SO, in the end, all four of the kids are signed up for dance classes next year. Kindra has decided to do Hip Hop again, Anna is going to stick with Tap and Ballet, Noah and Amaya will each be doing tap. SO....if you are interested, mark your calendars for next May. Recital is usually the weekend before Memorial Day weekend, there are 3 shows on Saturday and 2 shows on Sunday, so just plan on staying the entire weekend, because we won't know for certain which show all four children will dance in until a few weeks before the recital.

I want to say a big thank you to my Dad and Margaret for making the long trip to Merrill to see the children dance on Sunday afternoon. Would you believe they left Liberty, MO Saturday morning, stayed overnight in Merrill, watched the noon show on Sunday, and then turned right back around and headed back to Liberty Sunday afternoon!!!! We're talking a 1200 mile road trip, just to see the kids dance! What awesome grandparents! Of course, my mom is here too. She will be here until Wednesday afternoon, and we even get to attend a special poetry reading in Anna's class before she leaves, Poetry Parents and Pie is what they are calling it, should be a lot of fun!
